The Black Friday Craze

Black Friday is an enormous event for retailers in America. It’s that day of the year where people go cray cray over materialistic things because of the huge discounts or promotions that stores all over United States offer.

I honestly didn’t understand what Black Friday meant. I just know that it’s when Americans go shopping aggressively in stores the day after Thanksgiving. Through my data mining, I found out that there’s no specific origin for this so called Black Friday. Some say it’s the employees that work in retail who started it. It is, after all, that time of the year where they work extra hard coupled with long hours.

I don’t blame them. I’ve worked for a big Department Store as a Junior Buyer before and the busiest time is always the last quarter of the year. People have so much money during the holidays and retailers take advantage of that. As someone who’s brought up by business-minded parents, I have to say that Black Friday is one of the most successful marketing strategy that was invented. LOL

Being a self-confessed shopaholic, of course I did some shopping last Friday. I couldn’t resist myself. It’s the least that I could do to help the economy. Haha! I guess it’s a good thing I wasn’t in the States or else I might have emptied my savings again. LOL

Here are some of the items I bought during Black Friday:

I bought them online in one seating. Huhu. I know, I know. I need to practice a little bit of self-control. But it’s just that I know that I deserve them from working “hard” for the past few months. And my Dad always reminds me that I have to reward myself every now and then. :P

Speaking of online shopping, I’ve heard that there’s this annual online shopping event where most, if not all, e-commerce websites come together to bring the best deals and promos they can offer. Netizens call it the Online Fever, which is happening on December 12 (12/12, awesome right?!). Now the good news is, Online Fever is coming at Zalora Philippines! To all my fashion lover friends out there who loves to shop online, there’s definitely something to look forward to this month!

To more shopping this holiday season!

Comfortable Shopping 101: Folsom Edition

Last week we roamed around Paragon Premium Outlets. For this week, I had a chance to go back to one of the outlets I’ve visited last December, Folsom Premium Outlets.

Whenever I intend to go shopping for a whole day, I always wear something comfortable from head to foot. I personally think that a dress that easily zips at the side or at the back is a good choice as I can easily take them off and wear them again when I try on clothes. It’s way easier than wearing again a shirt and then a pair of pants after making an effort on taking them off.

Sneakers is also a good option to wear especially if you plan on spending a whole day of walking around shops and boutiques. Flats or sandals may be easier when trying on shoe wear but they are not that comfortable to use for a whole day.

The good thing for us shopaholics (who has lazy days too), we can also do it without walking! Online shopping is so useful nowadays that even the stores that you see in malls also have stores that you can shop online. I actually love shopping online too especially because I can also share my finds to my friends.

I am currently using REECO right now where I could recommend all kinds of stuff to people. I also think it’s helpful for me as a blogger to reach out to my audience on what trend I’m currently in. Plus it is very easy to use!
