Winter Sonata

I’m not telling a melodramatic love story like the Korean series. In fact, I’m super happy amidst the cold season. Probably the happiest I’ve ever been. And it’s an awesome way to start 2015.

Honestly, I can’t write properly. I’m hyped with endorphins. LOL. Yes, these pictures may not look like I’m ecstatic but I really am. I had the opportunity to roam around Northern California including San Francisco before 2014 ended. I mean, sure I’ve traveled to Hong Kong, Shanghai, Beijing and Singapore this year but all those trips can never compare with my experience here in California. Why? It’s all because I’m with him.

I thought 2014 would be a “year of rejection” for me but I was wrong. 2014 ended and 2015 started with so much heartwarming feels. The neighborhood was quiet compared to how we celebrate New Year’s in the Philippines but none of those things matter when someone’s hugging you tightly while you exchange soft kisses.

Now I know this year will be awesome!

Hope you had a wonderful 2014, guys! Here’s to an amazing year ahead of us! 2015, we’re ready for yah!

All I Want for Christmas

I’ve been around Asia for the whole of 2014. I went to Hong Kong last January, Shanghai and Beijing on March and June and Singapore last September. It was exciting and full of amazing (food) experiences but it was also kind of tiresome. So I vowed never to go abroad for the last quarter of the year unless… I can celebrate Christmas in America. ♥

Today is my first Christmas away from Gensan. However, I found it a little weird I didn’t feel depressed. Although I admit I feel a tinge of sadness since I do miss my family and my cats. But somehow I feel contented, my heart is at peace. Probably because all I wanted for Christmas this year was to be with someone special again. ♥

I hope you all guys are having a wonderful holiday celebration, no matter what your beliefs are. I wish you all get your hearts’ desires, I sure did. ;)

Happy Christmas, everyone!

Not Feeling Blue Anymore

I wasn’t planning on coming here anytime soon. In fact, our plan was for me to visit during Summer so I can attend San Diego Comic Con. Somehow it changed. I told myself, fudge it! I miss him too much! I’m going! I’m doing this!

I’m not the brave type. I may look adventurous due to my travels but I’m really not. Okay, maybe a little bit. LOL. And then one day I started thinking, if I really want to be with him, if I really want my Christmas to be happy again then maybe I should do something about it. I already did the whole US tourist visa thing, which was kind of stressful then why not use it?

So that’s what I did. I booked a ticket, told my supportive parents about it, packed and braved the 13-hr flight and the whole scary immigration thing ALL BY MYSELF. #thethingsyoudoforlove

You know what they say, follow your heart. Even if it takes you all the way to California ♥

P.S. Thanks love for taking my pictures. You really are my number one fan ;) :*

My life has been a series of ups and downs, lefts and rights, lately. Kind of like this dress I’m wearing.

I wore that gorgeous dress my Tita gave me last week to work. I was a bit high from all the sweet comments in my previous look that I know I have to play dress up and be all posh again. Heehee.

I’m not going to bore you with so much details but let’s just say that I’m pretty thrilled to leave the Philippines again soon. *wink wink* I thought I was going to experience a lonely Christmas this year but God answered my prayers and finally I can use that visa a week from today. My mind is currently crowded with so many things and my heart just can’t stay put. I’m trying so hard not to overthink but damnit, I’m excited! Haha!

Where do you think Desire will take me this time?

Romanticizing the Wardrobe

If you want to make an outfit look sweeter with a hint of sophistication, go for laces.

See what I did there?

I was going for something classy again because of work but I wanted to give it a little hint of sweetness. Thus, the lace skirt. It was an amazing find at one of the local malls here in Gensan. It doesn’t only look romantic, but the color makes it very unique too, not to mention the pencil style makes it a perfect addition to my classy look addiction. LOL

You see lace clothing doesn’t only come in white color and it doesn’t necessarily mean it will make any wearer look old. Yes, it’s a perfect way to romanticize any outfit but sometimes with one wrong move, it can be a fashion police worthy article. The secret? It all comes down on how you style it.

Don’t pair it with the same pattern of laces. If you don’t know how to pull lace-on-lace, ditch it. Go for something that is unexpected like a simple white t-shirt, a see-through button down or in my case, a silk black top. Another one is to never mix it with thick material. Lace is usually made up of wool and is considered a thick type of clothing. Pairing thick clothing with one another will make you look bulky. Unless it’s a coat, forget it.

All of the things mentioned above is just me. I’ve never studied in any fashion school so if you have other opinion, don’t hesitate to comment below. I’d like to know more about styling too!
